The Gawler and Hewett communities are being asked to share their views on how public transport services could be improved in the town.

Local Member, Mr Tony Piccolo said that he was interested in hearing from people about how we can improve the current public transport services.

“I would like to hear from people about why they don’t use the current services and what we need to do to improve them,” Mr Piccolo said.

“I have heard from many senior people that the timetables are too confusing and they do not know how to get across the town on the buses.’

“Whether it is timetables or accessibility issues, I want to hear about them.”“Good public transport services are an important aspect of any thriving community.”

“It improves road safety, enables people to maintain their independence and connects them to the community and services.”

“I am always keen to hear from people on how the various public transport services can be improved; improving access and achieving value for money services for the taxpayer,” he said.

A number of forums will be held during May to give residents and businesses an opportunity to provide their views on how public transport services can be improved and to gain an understanding on how they are managed.
