Café owner, Mr Joseph Russo said the purpose of MoDay is to raise funds to support the Movember Foundation’s Movember campaign.

“I will be donating $1 from every coffee sold on the day to the Movember Foundation,” Mr Russo said.

The Foundation raises funds to support research into a range of illnesses and diseases that affect men’s health.

The MoDay event is being supported by Mr Piccolo who will work in the café as a volunteer as his contribution to the event.

Mr Piccolo said while the event has a serious side to it, we are also planning to have some fun, so all “mo-wers” (and family and friends) are invited to purchase a coffee on the day and enter the “MoDay MoWer” competition.

“The Foundation’s aim is to change the face of men’s health, so on the day we want to see and photograph some of the best (and worst) mos in town,” Mr Piccolo said.

“The owner of the best Movember mo will be eligible to win a prize.

Mr Russo stated that Mo Sistas are also welcome to participate in the fun on the day.

“Let’s Get Motivated,” Mr Russo said.

“Support Movember and help stop men dying young,” he said.

Mr Piccolo has been a strong supporter of efforts to improve men’s health in the community.

Mr Piccolo said healthy men means healthy families and healthy families mean healthy communities. “MoDay Sunday is a great way to promote an important issue in a fun way but also raise valuable funds for research,” said Mr Piccolo.

Mr Piccolo stated that it’s not too late to sign up at https://au.movember.com and Grow a Mo or get active and Move to be the difference in a man’s life.
