The Gawler based North Star Chapter of BNI won two awards on Friday night at the Adelaide North Award Night held in the city.

Founded in 1985, BNI is a global, business networking organisation with several chapters in South Australia.

Local Member of Parliament, Mr Tony Piccolo attended the award night to support his local chapter.

Mr Piccolo said it was great to see the local chapter win two awards at the Regional Awards night held on Friday Night.

The North Star Chapter won the “Most Improved Chapter” and the “Chapter with Best Retention” Awards, which indicates the chapter is growing and getting better results for its membership.

“The members of BNI are business professionals who help each other grow their businesses through referrals, reflecting their value that givers gain,” said Mr Piccolo.

Local chapters meet each week, in thousands of communities across the globe, members meet with other trusted business leaders to build and nurture lasting relationships and pass qualified business referrals.

The Gawler based North Star meet at 8:10 am very Thursday morning at Café Nova, Murray Street, Gawler.

Local Financial Planner, Mr Alex Brown is the President of the North Star Chapter.

Mr Piccolo said that BNI offers people new in business access to business training, peer learning and opportunities to network and do business with hundreds of thousands of BNI® members around the world.

“There is a strong commitment to collaboration,” said Mr Piccolo.

“Starting a new business can be a daunting experience, so networking organisations like BNI help build the skills and confidence of their members,” said Mr Piccolo.
