Splosht a locally manufactured water dissolvable product, is set to make a splash on the world Market.
The Munno Para based company which manufactures its product in Whyalla, has plans to move into the Chinese, Hong Kong, Taiwanese and Singaporean Markets establishing Splosht as the number one natural product for cleaning water worldwide.
Established in 2012 with 12 months of testing carried out locally in South Australia, the product was launched locally in 2013, quickly gaining popularity as the new easy and natural way to clean fishponds, water features, aquariums, stock troughs and dams.
International Sales Manager, Mr Paul Marshall said Splosht is a unique natural product that is packed in water dissolvable sachets that you apply every 2 weeks to clean and keep water clean in fishponds, water features, aquariums, stock troughs and dams.
“It is organic, no measuring required, is safe for pets to drink and for fish to swim in,” said Mr Marshall.
“Splosht then grows and cleans creating fresh, clean water.” Mr Marshall said that during the period 2013-2015 Splosht expanded throughout Australia into over 1000 retail outlets such as nurseries, aquariums, pet shops, seed and fodder stores and Mitre10.
“In late 2015 Splosht commenced exporting to overseas Markets in South Africa, New Zealand, Malaysia, United Kingdom and India,” said Mr Marshall.
“With our continued growth we envisage establishing Splosht in over 195 countries worldwide over the next 2 years.
Mr Marshall said Splosht prides itself on supporting local South Australian businesses. “Our production facilities are based in Whyalla and support the disabled in the manufacturing and packaging of Splosht. All our raw materials (85%) are sourced locally in South Australia with only 15% sourced from overseas,” he said.
Local Member of Parliament Mr Tony Piccolo who attended the official opening of the Munno Para offices said the product had a very good chance of growing its export Markets thus creating more jobs locally.
Mr Marshall said Mr Piccolo and the Playford Council have expressed their enthusiasm and desire to help Splosht expand overseas with SA Government assistance creating more jobs locally in the Northern area and Whyalla.
“We look forward to working with the SA and Federal Governments,” he added.
